FAQ for the 2020 Conference

1. What is the theme of the conference? 

A: There is no particular theme for the conference.  We welcome any proposals pertaining to counselor education and supervision.

 

2. How many proposals can one person submit?

A:  There is a limit of two proposals per presenter listed on the proposal. The submission portal will flag proposals for exclusion if any presenter is listed on more than two proposals.

 

3. What are the specifics about the dates and times of the conference?

A: The conference will begin at 8am on October 1st (Thursday) and run through 5pm on October 3rd (Saturday).  

 

4. What can I look forward to at this conference?

A: We have a lot of exciting things planned for the conference!  We will be offering some supervision-specific activities, a social justice and community outreach project, CareerLink, and the Emerging Leaders program.

 

5. What will the registration costs be?

A: We will be offering early registration from April 1st to June 30th for $250.  Regular registration will run from July 1st to August 30th for $300. Late registration will be $350 from September 1st to on-site.

 

6. Will there be any discounts on registration for graduate students?

A: Yes! We are happy to support graduate students in their professional development and advancement by offering special rates on conference registration. Early registration for graduate students is $150, regular registration is $200, and late registration is $250.

 

7. What are the conference hotel accommodations?

A: We will be staying at the Coeur d'Alene Resort on the stunning Coeur d'Alene Lake.  We will be posting the link to the reservations portal for the hotel as soon as possible on this website. 

 

8. What is there to do in Coeur d'Alene?

A: Fall in CDA is spectacular! Hiking trails, theme parks, golf, music, and more is at your fingertips. Visit the CDA Convention and Visitor's Bureau website at https://www.coeurdalene.org/ for more information on the local attractions.
